Cloud Assistant Manager

We're looking for an experienced and highly skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Lead to manage and optimize our hybrid cloud environment. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, both on-premises and across multiple cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Communication & Management:
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong experience in team management, guiding and mentoring colleagues.
• Cloud & On-Premises Management:
• Have working experience on at least two major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), specifically Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Exhibit expertise in Virtualization Hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V preferred), as well as Google, AWS, and Azure cloud environments.
• Demonstrate expertise in on-premises to cloud migration and management.
• Maintain and update infrastructure design/build document sets.
• Ensure all infrastructure operations align with the ITIL Framework.
• Provide support across multiple cloud and on-premises technologies, with hands-on experience in Windows, Active Directory, networking, security, and troubleshooting.
• Create infrastructure estimates and manage costs effectively.
• Specific Cloud Service Management:
• Experience working with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, and Firewall.
• Experience working with Azure services such as VNet, VMs, Resource Groups, Load Balancers, and Storage.
• Service Desk & Escalation:
• Ensure all Service Desk tickets are resolved within WNS agreed SLAs.
• Handle escalation and troubleshooting of infrastructure-specific incidents from Service Desk Incident Management.
• Escalate calls to the respective backend teams and SMEs when required, following up to ensure complete resolution.
• Provide accurate shift handovers.
• Be available for rotational shifts (including night shifts).
• Vendor Coordination:
• Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution and solution optimization.
• This is an on-site role requiring work from the office.
• Linux Management Support:
• Provide troubleshooting, vulnerability management, and OS hardening expertise for multi-Linux flavors.
• Manage patching and OS upgrades for Linux systems.
• Handle disk and user management, with the ability to resolve complex disk-related issues.
• Oversee network management for all Linux flavors across both cloud and on-premises platforms.

Technology Domains to Support

• Mandatory: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud management and security, including migration, access management, high availability, disaster recovery (DR) strategy, and cost saving.
• Advantageous: Experience in cost management, audit management, documentation, and automation.

Qualifications

• Overall Experience: 5+ years of total experience.
• Relevant Cloud Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in cloud technologies.
• Education: Graduate in any stream, with a preference for an engineering background.
• Learning Agility: Possess good grasping power and a willingness to learn and acquire knowledge about new technologies as required.
