Job Description
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and record information on patient charts.
- Prepare patients for healthcare visits by directing or accompanying them to the examination room.
- Perform preliminary physical tests; review patients' medical history and order investigations if required.
- Counsel patients by relaying physician's instructions and addressing questions about surgery.
- Educate patients on medications, diet, and provide instructions while answering general health-related questions.
- Schedule surgeries, coordinate with surgical centers, verify timings with patients, and prepare charts, pre-admission, and consent forms.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards, procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
