Client Engineer

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge in managing and maintaining the VMware infrastructure management
• strong hands on experience on VMware upgradation and migration
• Proficient on VMware technologies like vCenter, Update Manager, HA, DRS, vMotion, svMotion, Template & Cloning, etc.
• Datacenter understanding.
• Experience with hardware platforms..
• Drive RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission along with planning and implementing fixes/patches.
• Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers and complex health check-ups.
• Experience developing virtual desktop solutions using vmware technologies (Horizon view,, Thinapp & vSphere)
• Experience providing technical resolution to incident & problem events related to VDI Infrastructure.
• Experience in VMware Horizon 7 administration: view connection server,Gateways,App vplumes, DEM
• Experience in horizon smart policies.
• Experience in troubleshooting end user issues such as agent unreachable, Black screen & VDI slowness issues etc.
• Experience in working in a global horizon view and implementation of new VDIs.
• Experience in AD, DNS, DHCP,virtual networking, storage, End user devices.
• Experience in Managing virtual and physical servers.
• Experience in Creation of golden images for horizon view composer and instant clone.
• Experience in Analyze & execute horizon view performance tuning strategies.
• Experience in Configuring & managing User,Group,Permission Role, Resource Pool
• Experience in Managing linked clone/Instant clone pools, thin apps, Persistent disks.
• Experience in Troubleshoot & resolve vSphere & Horizon view issues related to VM availability, Horizon view connectivity.
• Experience in Performing day-to-day VDI administration tasks such as patches, upgradation etc.
• Experience in Creating of desktop pools such as Floating, Dedicated.
• Involving in client calls and with support person to troubleshoot VDI related issues.
• Experience in working within the allocated SLAs to make sure issues are addressed in proper manner using ticketing tools.
• Provide documentation, Processes.
• Should be flexible to with 24/7 Support environment.
• Perform scheduled night/weekend work as required due to environment constraints.
• Experience in participating & developing VDI related operational procedures & Standards.
• Very good hands on experience & expert understanding with VMware Horizon 7.0 & later
• Experience in managing windows 10 VDI images
• Good experience in RDSH Services.
• Good experience in VMware Appvolumes, Appstacks & writable volumes.
• Working experience on VMware horizon view
• Strong hands-on experience on upgradation/migration on VMware and VMware horizon view
• Creates, manages and deploys Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and associated custom GPO templates for the virtual environment.
• Follows and enforces organizational IT security policies and processes, including change management processes.
• Ability to serve as the primary engineer for the client software and hardware environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows, and Mac operating systems
• Ability to make recommendations regarding the client architecture, and articulate the value that new products would bring to clients
• Knowledge of industry standards; available technologies; and security and system best practices
• Ability to understand and resolve network system issues
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Strong knowledge of system administration PowerShell CLI script and PowerShell and Batch scripts
