Cisco Network Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cisco Network Engineer with 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies, routing and switching, network security, and WAN/LAN environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to routing, switching, or connectivity
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and security across LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Manage and configure Cisco IOS devices, VLANs, STP, HSRP, EtherChannel, NAT, and ACLs
• Implement and maintain network security using firewalls (ASA, Firepower), VPNs, and secure access controls
• Support and configure wireless networks, network segmentation, and QoS policies
• Perform regular network maintenance, patching, firmware upgrades, and backups
• Document network configurations, diagrams, and change logs
• Collaborate with IT teams on projects involving network architecture and security improvements
• Respond to and resolve network-related incidents and participate in root cause analysis
• Support disaster recovery planning and network failover testing
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation or scheduled maintenance windows when required

Required Skills:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in Cisco network engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls (ASA/Firepower)
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and WAN technologies
• Proficient in VLAN, Trunking, Spanning Tree, NAT/PAT, and ACL configuration
• Experience with Cisco wireless controllers and access points
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
• Understanding of IPSec, SSL VPNs, and secure remote access configurations
• Experience with Cisco Prime, DNAC, or other network management platforms
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP (Routing & Switching or Enterprise)
• Experience with Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Cisco FMC
• Exposure to cloud networking (Azure/AWS/GCP) and SD-WAN technologies
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures
• Experience working in a large-scale enterprise or data center environment
