Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership for a manufacturing company. This role is responsible for the full ownership of the P&L and Balance Sheet, driving profitability, managing an IPO process, and leading a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L and Balance Sheet Ownership: Take full ownership of the company's P&L and Balance Sheet, driving profitability and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial statements (IND-AS/IFRS).
  • Financial Planning & Strategic Support: Lead annual budgeting, business forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Partner with business leaders to provide strategic insights and scenario modeling for growth.
  • Plant Finance & Costing: Oversee plant-level finance functions, including product costing and inventory control. Drive cost optimization and support capex planning and feasibility studies.
  • Working Capital, Fund & Treasury Management: Monitor and optimize working capital. Manage treasury functions, cash flow planning, and banking relationships. Lead fund management, including capital raising and efficient deployment of funds.
  • IPO Planning and Execution: Lead all financial, operational, and regulatory preparations for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Coordinate with investment bankers, auditors, and legal advisors, and oversee due diligence.
  • Compliance, Controls & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, Taxes, Companies Act, etc.). Lead audits and strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
  • ERP & Finance Transformation: Lead finance digitalization and ERP system implementation/enhancement. Improve reporting systems, financial analytics, and process efficiency.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, establish strong functional capabilities, and drive succession planning.

Skills Required

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
  • 20+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong preference for candidates from Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Process Industries.
  • Proven experience in P&L and Balance Sheet management.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, plant finance, working capital, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership in fund management and capital raising initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience in IPO planning, execution, and post-listing compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial transformation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
