Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular coaching sessions to teach chess fundamentals, strategies, and advanced tactics.
- Develop structured training plans tailored to the skill levels of different student groups.
- Identify and nurture talented players to represent the institution in competitive events.
- Organize internal chess tournaments, selection trials, and chess awareness workshops.
- Accompany and guide students during external competitions.
- Maintain player progress reports and suggest areas of improvement.
- Promote participation in chess as a tool for cognitive development, critical thinking, and focus.
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of chess equipment and practice areas.
- Coordinate with sports department or extracurricular coordinators to integrate chess into the institutional calendar.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in chess, with a strong playing or coaching background.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in any field.
- Certification from a recognized chess body (such as FIDE, AICF, or a national/state chess federation) is preferred.
