Chess Coach

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chess Teacher to inspire and educate our students. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a dynamic classroom of up to 40 students, delivering engaging lessons from basic to advanced strategies, and fostering critical thinking and sportsmanship through the game of chess.

Key Responsibilities

• Classroom Management: Effectively manage and control classroom activities for up to 40 students, ensuring a productive learning environment.
• Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging chess lessons, incorporating basic to advanced strategies and moves suitable for various skill levels.
• Technology Integration: Utilize digital boards and other educational technology tools to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
• Student Assessment: Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to help students improve.
• Positive Learning Environment: Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate.
• Skill Development: Encourage analytical thinking, patience, and sportsmanship through the game of chess.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong background in chess with experience in coaching or competitive play.
• Proven classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
• Prior experience working with school-aged children or in an academic setting is a plus.
• Certification in chess coaching or related education is preferred.
