Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Sell a variety of chemicals used in diverse industries, including applied analytical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and bioanalytical research.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts while identifying and developing new accounts to increase market penetration.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and trade channels.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual territory analysis.
  • Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, new launches, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, preparing reports, and recommending actions to management.
  • Develop professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities to commercial success.
