Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and IRDAI requirements.
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns applicable to the insurance broking business.
- Manage internal, statutory, and IRDAI audits, ensuring prompt resolution of audit observations.
- Oversee reconciliation of premium collections, commissions, and payments to insurance partners.
- Monitor accounts receivable/payable and ensure accurate ledger management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting for business performance tracking.
- Conduct financial due diligence for audits, compliance reviews, and potential business initiatives.
- Assist in investor relations by preparing financial reports, presentations, and responding to financial queries from stakeholders and partners.
- Maintain compliance with IRDAI circulars, accounting policies, and company SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial data analysis and decision-making support.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant with 3–6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in BFSI/Insurance sector.
- Strong understanding of IRDAI compliance, taxation (direct & indirect), and corporate laws.
- Experience in due diligence, audit processes, and financial stakeholder reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software (Tally, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
