Category Manager – Mechanical Rotating
Job Description
• Own intelligence for rotating equipment categories, including suppliers, pricing trends, market outlook, forecasting, and other supply chain variables
• Develop procurement strategy for rotating equipment and materials
• Manage supplier relationships, covering global and regional manufacturers and distributors
• Identify supply chain metrics and supplier classification standards
• Develop quarterly market bulletins covering trends in mechanical categories and commodities
• Review bidder lists and provide recommendations ensuring compliance with project requirements
• Evaluate bid tabs with focus on ownership cost, schedule, and technical compliance
• Support category-related project and supplier problem resolution
• Maintain data to support cost analytics tools
