Category Manager Electrical
Job Description
• Act as the primary owner of intelligence for electrical equipment categories, including suppliers, pricing trends, market outlook, forecasting, and other market variables affecting the supply chain.
• Build and maintain strong value-adding relationships with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams across various business lines.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical equipment and materials.
• Manage supplier relationships with major global/regional manufacturers and distributors.
• Identify supply chain metrics for supplier classification and performance assessment.
• Identify and develop potential suppliers for strategic sourcing.
• Prepare quarterly material market bulletins covering trends in electrical categories and commodities.
• Review and provide recommendations for bidder lists, focusing on viable solutions per project requirements.
• Evaluate bid tabs considering ownership cost, schedule, and compliance with commercial and technical requirements.
• Assist with category-related project and supplier problem resolution.
• Maintain data to support cost analytics and reporting tools
