Cad Master

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting:
• Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.).
• Develop and modify designs based on project requirements and technical specifications.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• CAD Management:
• Oversee the organization and maintenance of CAD files, libraries, and templates.
• Develop and enforce CAD standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across all designs.
• Manage the version control of all design documents and ensure they are updated regularly.
• Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design integration and alignment with project objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise during all phases of design, from concept to final implementation.
• Review and ensure that the design work complies with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Mentorship & Training:
• Train and mentor junior CAD designers in best practices, software usage, and design techniques.
• Conduct CAD software training sessions for staff and ensure the team's skills are kept up to date with the latest industry tools.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct detailed design reviews and audits to ensure all drawings meet quality standards and accuracy.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies, technical issues, and errors.
• Ensure all designs are documented properly for future use or modification.
• Innovation & Process Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate new CAD tools and technologies for potential integration into the workflow.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and streamline the design process.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in CAD design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Expert proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, CATIA, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of drafting techniques, technical drawing standards, and industry-specific design protocols.
• Experience in 3D modeling and simulation.
• Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, and design standards (e.g., ANSI, ISO).
• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the specific industry (e.g., construction, manufacturing, automotive, etc.).
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other advanced design techniques.
• Certification in CAD tools or software.
• Strong project management skills and experience in coordinating cross-functional teams.
