Job Description
Duties of Position:
- Requires broad knowledge of PCB Layout Engineering practices, manufacturing processes, and IPC standards.
- Responsible for adhering to DFM/DFA and DFT processes and preparing files for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Execute high-speed design boards and support team members in developing skills aligned with Sanmina design specifications.
- Collaborate and interact with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) teams.
- Consider EMI/EMC, thermal, and mechanical performance enhancements in designs.
- Design complex multi-layer PCB boards using Cadence Allegro tool.
- Handle projects independently with strong technical expertise.
- Excellent team player interacting effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Experience in skill development and design automation is preferred.
- Experience in library database management is preferred.
- Experience in EDA tool automation is preferred.
Qualifications Required:
- BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB layout development for computer, server, storage PCBAs, or related fields.
- Technical expertise in High-Speed Digital, Analog, and Power Supply designs.
- Experience in board layout for x86-based computing, server, and storage application domains.
- Experience with Intel designs, especially Sandy Bridge and server platform designs.
- Familiarity with high-end processor-based motherboard design, DDRx memory interfaces, and Ethernet interfaces.
- Familiarity with Signal Integrity concepts and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of EDA tools, especially Cadence Allegro. Knowledge of Mentor Graphics and Altium is an added advantage.
- Expertise in DFx concepts and implementation. Familiarity with Valor/CAM350 or DFM/DFA tools is preferred.
- Proven experience participating in development projects from design to production.
- Proficient in office productivity tools including Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of project management methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing PCB assembly flows.
- Experience in EDA tool automation is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize, analyze, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-disciplined, highly productive, and able to work effectively in a team.
