CAD Designer-Furnishing Industry

We are seeking a CAD Designer for the Furnishing Industry to produce 2D/3D drawings and floor plans using AutoCAD software. You will be responsible for creating design solutions based on client requirements, preparing production dockets, and coordinating with the execution and sales teams. This role requires expertise in AutoCAD 2016 and a degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting: Produce 2D/3D sketches, drawings, and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using AutoCAD software.
• Client & Sales Support: Understand client requirements and provide effective design solutions. Prepare and submit quotations for products as per client layouts and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
• Technical & Production Support: Prepare typical and site marking drawings. Supervise the manufacturing process and follow up on material dispatch to the site. Prepare a BOM (Bill of Materials) for easy part identification and create production dockets for factory login.
• Coordination: Coordinate with the execution team for timely line marking at the site. Provide efficient support to both the sales team and the factory team.
• Project Management: Find the root cause of issues and create smooth workflows in terms of supply and product. Maintain records of quotation lists, weekly reports, and project status reports.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 for 2D/3D design.
• Knowledge of office furniture design and space planning and utilization.
• Experience with cost estimation and preparing BOMs.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

QUALIFICATION:

• A degree in B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Civil), Architecture, or Interior Design.
