Big Castings / Tower NDT L2 DQE Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-the-job inspection of cast iron products (Hub, Main Frame, Bearing Housing) at supplier locations before shipment to the N&H Factory

a. Visual Testing (VT) per EN1370 using Golden Sample or Testing Block

b. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT)

c. Die Penetration Testing (DP)

d. Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

e. Dimensional inspection after machining

f. Final visual inspection

g. Quality documentation review

• Support new vendor development for mechanical components and implement quality processes at supplier premises and site

• Conduct detailed inspections and testing as per ITP/QAP agreements

• Assess feasibility of UT and MT testing due to geometric constraints and provide feedback to design teams for alternatives

• Coordinate and address non-conformities at supplier site using the 8D methodology

• Apply knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, IQC, FAI for effective quality management

• Work with quality management systems like ISO 9001:2015

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering

• Experience:

– Diploma holders: 8–10 years

– Engineering graduates: 3–7 years

• Gender: Male preferred due to foundry working conditions

• Industry Background: Wind, Automobile, Heavy Engineering

• Preferred:

– NDT inspection experience in wind industry casting components

– Location: Kolhapur (Resident Engineer at Supplier location)

– Qualified in VT, MT, and UT as Level II or III per ISO 9712 or equivalent

– Familiarity with EN 12680-3 (UT), EN 1369 (MT), and EN 1370 (VT)

• Strong communication skills in English and Marathi (for MH region factory environment)
