Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of banking sales executives/officers to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to drive business growth.
  • Foster a positive and high-performance sales culture within the team.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of new sales team members.
  • Sales Performance & Target Achievement: Monitor and analyze sales performance against set targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Drive the sales of a wide range of banking products and services including savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, loans (personal, home, auto), credit cards, insurance, and investment products.
  • Actively participate in key client meetings and negotiations to support team members and close complex deals.
  • Ensure adherence to all sales processes, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Oversee the cultivation and maintenance of strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Identify customer needs and cross-sell/up-sell appropriate banking products and services.
  • Market & Product Knowledge: Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and new product offerings in the banking industry.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to management for product development and strategy enhancement.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to management.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies, external regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and sales documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of progressive experience in banking sales, with at least 1-2 years in a team leading or supervisory role.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and operations.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
