Backend Engineer / AI Orchestrator

Key responsibilities

• Implement API layer and orchestration logic (Python or Node.js) to receive chat requests and coordinate helper components.
• Use Neo4j driver to generate, validate, and execute graph queries (Cypher), including query safety/guardrails.
• Integrate and orchestrate LLMs (prompting, RAG retrieval, few-shot patterns) and any helper agents (retrievers, summarizers).
• Design and manage AI agent workflows - coordinating multiple specialized agents
• Implement security, input sanitization, rate limiting, audit logging and observability for queries and LLM outputs.
• Build retries, fallbacks, and monitoring pipelines; collaborate with frontend on realtime status and result formatting.

Must-have skills

• Python or Node.js production experience
• Neo4j driver and Cypher query experience
• Experience orchestrating LLMs / tool-using agents (prompt engineering, retrieval pipelines)
• Hands-on experience with AI agent workflow frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI)
• Security/guardrail patterns, logging and monitoring (structured logs, traces, metrics)

Nice-to-have

• Experience with GCP - GBQ or similar data platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, async task queues, vector DBs for retrieval, CI/CD and infra-as-code.
