Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Solution Design:
- Design and architect cloud solutions based on Microsoft Azure services and frameworks.
- Define and implement cloud infrastructure and security architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
- Lead the development and implementation of cloud migration strategies for legacy applications to Azure.
- Provide recommendations on architecture and services to improve cloud scalability, security, performance, and resilience.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Architect and manage Azure-based infrastructure using services like Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Storage.
- Manage and optimize Azure Active Directory (AAD), Identity & Access Management (IAM), and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate deployments and integration.
- Security and Compliance:
- Design and implement security frameworks for Azure-based solutions, including encryption, identity management, and threat protection.
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
- Provide security and governance frameworks for Azure services, ensuring secure data access and protection.
- Cloud Cost Optimization:
- Work with finance and operations teams to manage cloud costs effectively by optimizing resource allocation, scaling, and leveraging Azure's cost management tools.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives, including using reserved instances, auto-scaling, and spot VMs.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and other architects to understand business requirements and translate them into Azure solutions.
- Lead the cloud adoption strategy, working with project teams to define and implement cloud best practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and developers, helping them understand Azure best practices and design principles.
- Cloud Migration:
- Lead the migration of legacy applications and on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and risk.
- Define strategies for hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud solutions.
- Ensure cloud migration aligns with business goals, security standards, and compliance regulations.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Utilize Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to proactively monitor cloud environments.
- Provide recommendations for troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining high-availability architectures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create comprehensive architecture documentation that includes solution designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
- Provide regular status reports on cloud infrastructure, deployments, and optimization opportunities.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303, AZ-304) or Azure Architect Design (AZ-305) are preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Strong experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and related services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Active Directory (AAD).
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration strategies, including migrating from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and Azure DevOps.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of Azure architecture principles, including networking, security, compute, and storage.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Experience with Azure governance tools such as Azure Policy, Azure Security Center, and Azure Blueprints.
