A Cloud Migration Architect is a crucial role in the process of transitioning an organizations

IT infrastructure applications and data from onpremises environments to cloudbased

solutions Their responsibilities encompass planning designing and overseeing the

migration strategy to ensure a smooth and successful transition. A very good understanding of MS Azure Google AWS cloud solution is required apart from a good understanding of how legacy applicationsDatabases work so that a smooth transition to cloud is performed

Need to have 5 years of MS AZURE Google Cloud solutions deployment with large

Organizations Sound knowledge of HIPPAGDPR and other security guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure applications and workloads to determine their readiness for migration to the cloud.
• Review the existing Legacy systems and conduct a detailed feasibility study and report on how to migrate Legacy systems like VB NET MS Access MS SQL Server databases and SharePoint sites and pages.
• Develop a comprehensive migration plan considering the organizations goals current state target architecture and migration approach.
• Design the target architecture for the cloud environment considering scalability performance security compliance and cost optimization.
• Define cloud architecture patterns best practices and guidelines to ensure consistent implementation across the migration effort.
• Define the migration strategy including the selection of appropriate migration approaches liftandshift replatform refactor etc for different applications and workloads
• Develop a phased approach for migration prioritizing critical systems and minimizing disruptions to operations
• Lead and oversee the actual migration of infrastructure applications and data to the cloud ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
• Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to execute the migration plan effectively and efficiently
• Ensure seamless integration of migrated components with existing and new cloud native services and applications
• Conduct thorough testing functional performance security to validate successful migration and resolve any issues
• Optimize cloud resources configurations and performance to achieve cost efficiency and enhance system performance in the cloud environment
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization based on cloud usage and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with the security team to design and implement security measures to protect data and applications during migration and in the cloud.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and organizational policies related to data privacy and security.
• Create comprehensive documentation of the migration process Runbooks Design architecture configurations and best practices.
• Conduct training sessions for internal teams to ensure a smooth transition and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Identify potential risks associated with the migration and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelors OR Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering OR BCA MCA
• 5 years of experience on MS AZURE Google Cloud solutions and services Certified on MS AZURE Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies eg Docker
• Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking concepts security protocols and best practices for securing cloud based applications and data
• Experience with migration tools and methodologies for moving applications and data to the cloud In particular experience of Legacy systems and applications developed in older technologies like VB Net etc.
• Excellent project management skills to plan execute and oversee complex migration projects
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders
