AVP & Chief App Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with business users and translate requirements into executable solutions
• Lead development and execution of mid-size projects using Microsoft-based technologies
• Proactively manage changes, identify risks, and create contingency plans
• Prepare project documentation including progress reports, requirements, and presentations
• Plan and manage technical solution delivery to final client hand-off
• Coordinate internal and external teams for alignment on deliverables
• Develop and adapt project plans, processes, and communication standards
• Track project progress and ensure timely delivery
• Provide technical leadership ensuring scalable, functional, and available solutions
• Interpret requirements and lead design, development using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and third-party plugins
• Provide production support and troubleshoot technical issues
• Work with internal teams and external vendors/business partners

Technical Expertise Required:

• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET, MVC, C#, Java, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, JavaScript frameworks
• Experience in .NET, ASP.NET Web Forms, WCF, LINQ, JavaScript/JQuery, AJAX, XML, and JSON
• Development experience on AWS or Azure platforms (certification preferred)
• Understanding of GC (General Cycle) methodology and iterative development (preferably SCRUM/CSM certified)
• Experience in project management tools: JIRA, RALLY, Microsoft Project Plan, TFS/VSTS
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools is preferred
• Experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2016/2020, SharePoint Designer, workflows, web parts, and troubleshooting

Business Understanding:

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading GC/HB development
• 7+ years of project management experience
• Knowledge of the General Insurance industry (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience managing 6–8 projects (duration 1+ year, budget ₹5 Cr+ independently)
• Proven understanding of the software development life cycle
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (including CXO level)
• Vendor management experience

Secondary Skills:

• Experience in GC/Waterfall methodologies
• Familiarity with Portals, Middleware, Web Services, Integrations, APIs, Mobility, Data, BI, CRM, Core Insurance Systems, SAP, Event Engines, Rules Management

Qualifications:

• Post Graduate / Graduate (IT qualification required: BE IT / BCA / MCA preferred or certified from reputed IT institutes)
• PMP/ITIL certification preferred
