Job Description
- Requirement Management: Proactively engage with overseas customers to understand their needs and translate them into detailed requirement documents.
- PCB Design & Leadership: (Optional, but a strong advantage) Review PCB layouts, drive PCB design resources, and resolve technical challenges in the design process.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive engineering documents such as Test Plans, Test Reports, presentations for project progress, and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) & Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
- BOM & Component Management: Expertise in generating Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs) with variants, knowledge of electronic/electrical components, obsolescence management, cost reduction initiatives, and managing data in PLM tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project targets within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Board Bring-up & Debugging: Perform board bring-up activities, thoroughly test, and debug newly manufactured boards or those received from counterparts.
- Manufacturing Support: Understand manufacturing issues and requirements, actively contributing to process improvement.
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Circuit Design: Hands-on experience in Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal circuit design, development, and testing, with a primary focus on automotive digital circuits.
- System Design: Good working knowledge of Microcontroller and Microprocessor-based system design, as well as System-on-Chip (SOC) architectures (FPGA or equivalent).
- Circuit Analysis: Proficient in preparing/deriving circuit-related analysis documents such as Worst-Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE).
- EMC/EMI: Experience understanding, debugging, and providing solutions for EMC/EMI issues.
- Circuit Simulation: Good working knowledge in analog circuit simulations.
- Schematic & PCB Review: Very good at schematic entry and PCB layout review, capable of providing clear directions to layout engineers.
- High-Speed Interfaces: Strong technical and working knowledge of high-speed interfaces including DDR3/4/5, CSI2 (FPD Link 3/4), Automotive Ethernet 100/1000T1 and Ethernet 100/1000T, PCI, and PCIe.
- Communication Protocols: Working knowledge of communication protocols like I2C, SPI, USB, LIN, and CAN-FD.
- Product Testing: Ability to carry out product testing for environmental and certification test standards.
- Lab Equipment & Soldering: Experienced in using common lab equipment such as Precision DMMs, High-frequency DSOs, and logic analyzers. Should also have basic soldering knowledge for SMD components.
- Industry Tools: Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools:
- Schematics Capture & PCB Designing: Altium Designer 22+
- Circuit Simulation: LTspice, Saber, or equivalent
- DFMEA: Madini (optional, added advantage)
