Automation Testing Professional

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, or API-based applications
• Analyze requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Identify, document, and track defects through defect management tools
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Perform regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and system testing
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in test automation
• Prepare test data and maintain test documentation
• Provide regular status updates to the project lead or manager
• Ensure automation coverage and improve test execution efficiency
• Work in agile environments and actively participate in sprint ceremonies

Skills Needed

• Strong experience in automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar
• Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, BDD, Cucumber, POM, etc.)
• Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect management processes
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms is an advantage
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and client-interaction abilities
