Automation Tester

Direct Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Rest Assured, Cucumber, and API Testing Tools.
• Ensure automation test cases align with the Enterprise Automation Framework standards.
• Support manual testing execution when needed by creating and maintaining test sets.
• Assess automation feasibility for functional test sets/cases.
• Provide test automation status updates and execution results to Test Leads/Managers.
• Offer technical guidance to other API Automation Engineers.
• Work collaboratively with QA, development, and project teams in an Agile environment.
• Integrate test scripts within CI/CD pipelines.

Contributing Responsibilities:

• Proficient in Java and scripting for Web, Mobile, and API automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, GitLab, and Nexus.
• Experience with JIRA and XRay is mandatory.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong expertise in functional testing and test automation strategy.
• Practical knowledge in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Specific Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in QA/Software Testing.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on API test automation experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in the BFSI domain; familiarity with personal finance or lending is a plus.
• Proficiency in Java programming.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
