Automation Lead or Test Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the quality of software products.
• Test Metrics: Define, collect, and analyze test metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing process.
• Governance: Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices and provide governance over the testing process.
• Release Management: Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring that all quality standards are met before deployment.
• Defect Management: Oversee the defect management process, including defect tracking, reporting, and resolution.
• Agile Methodologies: Work within agile teams to integrate testing activities into the development process.
• Jira Management: Utilize Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and project management.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Testing Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of test cases, test scripts, and test results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Test Data Management: Manage and maintain test data to ensure it is accurate, relevant, and secure.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and product owners to conduct walkthroughs and ensure alignment on testing requirements and outcomes.
• Qualifications:
• Experience: 10+ years in software testing, with a focus on test metrics, test planning, and governance.
• Industry Knowledge: Exposure to the life insurance industry is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Jira, defect management tools, and agile methodologies.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring testing teams.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
