Athletic-Coach

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement structured training programs for athletics and other assigned sports disciplines.
• Provide coaching for individual and team sports to prepare students for inter-collegiate, state, national, and university-level competitions.
• Organize intra-mural sports events, fitness sessions, and awareness programs related to physical health and well-being.
• Identify talent and mentor students for athletic development and competitive excellence.
• Ensure safe use of sports facilities, equipment, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and code of conduct during practices and events.
• Maintain records of attendance, training progress, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with academic departments to balance students' academic and athletic commitments.
• Assist in planning budgets for sports activities and equipment procurement.
• Represent the institution in sports councils, associations, and relevant regulatory bodies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Proven experience as a coach or trainer in athletics or related sports activities.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills:

• Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) or diploma/certification in coaching from recognized sports authorities (e.g., NIS, SAI).
• Experience coaching at the university, state, or national level.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of injury prevention and first aid.
