Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Asst. Manager/Deputy Manager - Medical Underwriting to join our client's team through Acme Services. This pivotal role is crucial for ensuring the quality and compliance of medical underwriting processes, particularly within a robust governance framework. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in audit support, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance & Quality Assurance: Lead the assessment and evaluation for the end-to-end closure of cases highlighted under the Governance framework (including Audit, Quality checks, etc.).
- Performance Feedback & Training: Daily share outages / findings / learnings identified under the Governance framework. Based on these observations, conduct training, case clinics, and mentoring sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Provide comprehensive support in internal & external audit activities, such as Internal Assurance audit, Legal and compliance reviews, IRDAI audit, and statutory audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory standards.
- Regulatory Circular Management: Support the closure on regulatory circulars specifically related to Medical Underwriting, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of new guidelines.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement plans to improvise quality within the medical underwriting function, driving continuous enhancement of processes and outcomes.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with a good excel basis for data analysis.
- Expertise in assessment and evaluation of cases under a governance framework.
- Ability to identify and share outages / findings / learnings effectively.
- Proficiency in conducting training, case clinics, and mentoring.
- Experience in supporting internal & external audit activities (Internal Assurance, Legal & Compliance, IRDAI, Statutory).
- Capability to support the closure of regulatory circulars for Medical Underwriting.
- Aptitude for developing plans to improvise quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Medical Underwriting, preferably in an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager capacity.
- Demonstrable experience in quality assurance, audit support, and compliance within the insurance or financial sector.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
