Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Resource Planning:

  • Develop detailed plans for procurement and allocation of tools, equipment, and manpower based on project requirements and schedules.
  • Analyze project scope and timelines to forecast future needs for tools, equipment, and workforce.

Tool and Equipment Management:

  • Ensure availability and allocation of tools and equipment needed for various project phases including installation, maintenance, and repair in wind and solar projects.
  • Manage inventory levels, track tool usage, maintain records, and ensure proper storage and upkeep.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to acquire tools and equipment timely, meeting specifications.

Manpower Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and manage workforce schedules aligned with project timelines, ensuring adequate staffing.
  • Assess skill requirements and ensure workforce possesses necessary qualifications and experience.
  • Coordinate with HR and subcontractors for hiring, training, and deployment of manpower.

Project Support and Coordination:

  • Liaise with project managers, construction teams, and engineers to understand resource needs and resolve issues related to tools and manpower.
  • Implement strategies to optimize utilization of tools and workforce, minimizing downtime and improving efficiency.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for tools, equipment, and manpower including cost estimation and expense tracking.
  • Monitor expenditures, identify budget concerns, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure tools and equipment comply with industry standards, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of tool usage, manpower deployment, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on resource utilization, availability, and performance to project managers and senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of resource planning and management processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Problem Solving:

  • Identify and resolve issues related to tool availability, equipment failures, or manpower shortages to minimize project delays.
  • Troubleshoot unforeseen problems related to tools and workforce and coordinate prompt resolutions.
