Associate II Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned development tasks and deliver high-quality, maintainable software.
• Apply solid software development principles and best practices within the project's constraints.
• Focus on delivering quality code, enhancing productivity, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Design or assist in the design of components and subsystems based on functional and technical specifications.
• Break down development tasks from design into manageable work units and provide accurate estimates.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to clarify requirements.
• Work with Quality Assurance teams to ensure efficient and effective bug resolution and test coverage.

What We're Looking For

• Programming: Proficient in Java 8 and above.
• API Development: Understanding of modern API technologies including REST, GRPC, GraphQL, Webhooks, and Streaming; knowledge of API proxy gateways.
• Frameworks & Architecture: Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Familiar with continuous integration/deployment pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Software Design: Strong understanding of software design principles and ability to decompose tasks from high-level designs.
• Concurrency: Understanding of multithreading and concurrent programming.
• Testing: Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Code Quality: Ability to write performant, testable, and maintainable code.
