Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead in highly ambiguous spaces, making high-velocity decisions to develop scalable system-level solutions for different types of industries
  • Foster a culture of inclusion.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership by acting as the primary technical point of contact for all program needs.
  • Prioritize key workstreams with internal and external stakeholders to deliver to our customer needs.
  • Systems Level Design experience:
  • Understand and evaluate technical concepts in-depth with technical leads & product managers
  • Deep understanding of embedded systems & software development
  • Working knowledge of cross-functional skill sets such as safety & compliance, good electrical & mechanical design practices
  • Provide design for X guidance/feedback on electromechanical designs.
  • Drive DFMEAs, PFMEAs, RCA, and corrective actions.
  • Able to identify and analyze cross-functional tradeoffs between solution options (including hardware-software dependencies) to evaluate impact on KPIs, and risks to implementation such as technical complexity, cost, safety, reliability, etc.
  • Facilitate requirements management, trade studies, and technical risk assessments across integrated system-of-systems using quantitative methods and first-principles analysis.
  • Build effective mechanisms for communication between team members & internal/ external stakeholders through periodic reviews, addressing resource management with trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
  • Develop clear RACI to drive accountability of all stakeholders & contributors.
  • Mentor team members in engineering best practices, and participate in hiring of new team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements:

  • 1 4+ years of experience in integration, deployment, and production support of complex robotics and other automated electromechanical systems in industrial settings
  • Experience in all full lifecycle management of technical projects from requirements gathering, design, prototyping, and testing to final deployment and post-production support; managing tradeoffs with key decision makers at each stage
  • Experience devising relevant KPI metrics, SMART goals setting, effective tracking & risk escalation mechanisms, review & resolve delivery blockers for key initiatives that could impact business.
  • Establish org-level metrics to ensure alignment between org delivery goals & program-level / company-level goals.
  • Establish best practices for engineering documentation, test procedures, voice of customer (VoC) feedback for internal/external customers, and tracking issues to resolution.
  • Facilitate effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support mentoring, learning & development opportunities for team members
  • Able to travel to different customer sites in North America and Europe
