Associate Analyst Testing

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Analyst – Testing to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of software testing practices, basic exposure to automation, and a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in test planning, design, and execution across functional and non-functional test areas.
• Develop and document basic test cases based on requirements and user stories.
• Work with QA leads and business analysts to validate test scenarios.
• Execute various types of testing: functional, integration, regression, and basic performance/security testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools such as JIRA or Quality Center.
• Support automation activities by understanding automation flows and coordinating with the automation team.
• Prepare test reports and document test outcomes, including supporting data and analysis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint testing efforts.
• Apply basic SQL or query tools to analyze test data and validate results.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, documentation practices, and quality expectations.
• Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision and communicate status clearly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• College graduate degree from a reputed institute.
• Strong reasoning, analytical, and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of web application testing; exposure to mainframe testing is preferred.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and test lifecycle.
• Exposure to or understanding of non-functional testing such as performance and security testing.
• Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center).
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Certification in software testing is a plus (ISTQB, CSTE, CMMI, LOMA – desirable).
• Basic exposure to automation tools – TOSCA preferred or any equivalent.
• Ability to create, review, and maintain test documentation.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and process adherence.
• Self-learner with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in testing projects involving technology upgrades or renewals.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools or CI/CD practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and teams.
• Understanding of query tools, reporting tools, and data comparison utilities.
