In this role, We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Assistant Vice President - Life Sciences Analytics to lead a marquee engagement with a global innovator biopharma client. This leadership role combines strategic delivery oversight, client engagement, innovation incubation, and account growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in commercial analytics, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of applying AI and new-age technologies to solve complex business problems.
You will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team across India and the US, delivering cutting-edge analytics and AI solutions, and acting as a thought leader to shape and elevate our client partnership.
Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Strategic Leadership
Serve as the primary point of contact for a global innovator client on analytics and AI initiatives.
Partner with senior stakeholders (VPs, Heads of Commercial, Digital, AI/ML leads) to understand priorities and define solution roadmaps.
Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader in commercial life sciences analytics, influencing client strategy.
Team Management & Delivery Oversight
Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team spread across India and the US (data science, data engineering, domain SMEs).
Drive flawless execution of deliverables, ensuring high-quality, timely, and impactful outcomes.
Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.
Innovation & Solution Development
Incubate and scale next-gen solutions using GenAI, NLP, predictive modeling, graph analytics, and cloud-native platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/AWS).
Promote agile experimentation and adoption of cutting-edge tools and techniques.
Translate emerging technologies into scalable business value for the client.
Growth & Account Expansion
Identify whitespace opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to grow the account.
Co-create proposals and POVs showcasing analytics-led value for new business use cases.
Expand footprint into adjacent areas like Specialty care, New brand Launch support, RWE, patient analytics, omnichannel and AI-powered operations.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields MBA or PhD is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Relevant years of experience in Healthcare, Medtech, Life Sciences analytics, with significant exposure to US and global commercial functions.
Proven experience leading large-scale, high-impact analytics and AI programs for innovator clients.
Strong expertise in commercial analytics areas such as forecasting, brand performance, HCP segmentation, patient analytics, omnichannel, etc.
Experience working across geographies with distributed teams.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation using modern technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, cloud, NLP, etc.)
Hands-on understanding of analytics platforms, data infrastructure, and MLOps is a plus.
Experience working in or with global biopharma innovators.
Published or presented in conferences or forums on analytics, AI, or digital transformation in life sciences.
Passionate about building high-performance teams and mentoring future leaders.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and innovation.
Lead the analytics solutioning efforts for our US-based Medical Devices or MedTech clients, ensuring the development and delivery of innovative and impactful analytics solutions.
Understand client requirements and challenges in the commercial and supply chain analytics areas and develop comprehensive analytics strategies to address them effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and consultants, to design and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions tailored to client needs.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, challenges, and developments in the MedTech sector, and provide thought leadership on how new analytics advancements can solve business problems.
Using Generative AI to work on tasks like text generation, sentiment analysis, chatbots and language translation using RAG and agent-based models.
Analyze data and Generating insights using generative AI techniques for predictive modelling and data generation.
Building chatbot using different scalable data source for generating charts and statement.
Proficiency in programming language Python, SQL.
Strong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in Multi Chanel marketing, Omnichannel, Digital and Marketing analytics with relevant experience in in Pharma / Life sciences industry, leading large analytics engagement
As lead program manager, facilitate cross-functional stakeholder discussions and drive consultative selling and innovation with hands-on analytical deep-dive
Demonstrated though leadership in driving continuous improvement in MCM and Marketing analytics in the areas of brand launch initiatives, customer journey, brand positioning, customer segmentation, business insights, campaign effectiveness measurement, channel affinity, next best action etc.,
Exposure to pharma data sets such as IQVIA, Symphony: Xponent, PlanTrak, NPA, DDD, Digital Interaction data, Veeva CRM, Call Activity data, Adobe, Google analytics data, IPad, Social media data,
