Assistant Manager \u2013 Stores

Store & Material Operations

• Manage receipt, inspection coordination, storage, and issue of RM/BO/Consumables/FG.
• Ensure correct binning, tagging, and adherence to FIFO/FEFO principles.
• Execute kitting and issue as per production schedules and job cards.
• Maintain stock for assembly, machine shop, R&D, and Kanban stores.

Inventory Accuracy

• Maintain 100% material traceability and documentation.
• Perform cycle counting, perpetual inventory, and monthly physical stock verification.
• Ensure zero-gap between physical and ERP stocks.
• Highlight inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.

ERP & Digital Execution

• Oversee real-time transactions in Expandx ERP (GRN, Issue, Return, Transfer).
• Collaborate with digital/IT team for barcode and system improvements.
• Support implementation of Barcode/QR systems, Kanban, dashboards, and digitized records.

Production Support

• Ensure material availability for daily production plans.
• Coordinate closely with Production, QA, Planning, and Purchase teams.
• Track shortages and drive fast closure with concerned teams.

Vendor & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate inward logistics with suppliers and transporters.
• Validate supplier documentation such as challans, invoices, and test certificates.
• Support returnable/rejected material handling and documentation.

Lean, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain 5S/6S standards, safety discipline, and audit readiness in stores.
• Implement Lean material flow practices (Kanban, standard racks, shadow boards).
• Participate in internal and external audits (ISO & customer audits).

Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and share reports on daily GRN and issue status, inventory health, material shortages, slow-moving/excess inventory, and stock variance reports.
• Track and report on KPIs: inventory accuracy >98%, on-time material issue >95%, GRN posting lead time, stock ageing reduction, zero line stoppages due to stores, 5S audit score compliance, and system discipline in ERP & Kanban.
