Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Given below is job description which captures the primary responsibility of the role. Depending upon the requirement/fitment, you may be assigned any other responsibility within the group:

 Direct Taxation:

  • Accurate advance tax computation and timely deposition for assigned entities.
  • Prepare quarterly tax provisions, including accurate computation of Current and Deferred Tax.
  • Support in computation and deposit TDS monthly, ensuring compliance and timely reconciliation.
  • Prepare and maintain Tax Related Contingent Liability Schedules.
  • Coordinate data collection and documentation for Tax Audits and ITR filings.
  • Liaise with consultants for timely and accurate preparation and filing of Tax Audit Reports (TARs) and Income Tax Returns (ITRs).
  • Ensure comprehensive review and filing of TARs and ITRs within statutory deadlines.
  • Handle preparation and filing of Form 61/61A and manage TDS Receivable Reconciliation.
  • Provide support in responding to tax notices, assisting in Income Tax and TDS Assessments.
  • Facilitate issuance of Form 15CA/CB for foreign remittances, ensuring compliance with Domestic Tax Laws and DTAA provisions.

Indirect Taxation (GST):

  • Ensure timely and accurate review and filing of GST returns and other related documentation for assigned entities.
  • Collaborate on standardizing tax-related processes, preparing comprehensive process documentation, and ensuring consistent implementation across the Max Healthcare network.

Internal Controls & Process Improvements:

  • Conduct periodic reviews of all tax-related control processes and record retention practices, identify process gaps, and implement remedial actions.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of tax risk mitigation strategies.

 Tax Advisory, Research & Strategic Support:

  • Perform in-depth research on emerging tax issues impacting hospital industry, law amendments, and judicial pronouncements relevant to the business.
  • Provide ad hoc tax support for strategic projects, Merger and Acquisition and organizational developments.
