Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Procurement (German)
In this role, you need to drive strategic and operational procurement initiatives, optimize costs, strengthen supplier partnerships, and lead process improvements to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement operations and category management.
Develop and implement category strategies and cost optimization plans.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships conduct performance reviews.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to maximize value.
Approve PR/PO within delegated limits and ensure compliance with policies.
Monitor and report procurement KPIs (On-Time Delivery, Cost Savings, Supplier Quality).
Support sourcing for new products and materials.
Mentor and coach junior team members to build procurement capability.
Drive continuous improvement in PR-PO cycle and related processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Expertise in ERP systems (SAP MM or similar).
Language: German & English
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and quality processes.
Proficiency in supplier evaluation and contract management
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Preferred: MBA or recognized procurement certification.
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
Effective cross-functional collaboration.
Sound decision-making and risk assessment.
