Assistant Manager - Pharmacy

• Assist the Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel, and provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operations, including dispensing practices, record-keeping, and controlled substance management.
• Oversee the processing and dispensing of prescriptions accurately and efficiently, while adhering to all relevant safety protocols and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, order medications and supplies as needed, and manage medication recalls and returns in accordance with established procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve prescription-related issues, coordinate patient care, and optimize medication therapy outcomes.
• Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, drug interactions, and other relevant information.
• Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and patient satisfaction.
