Job Description
- Supports the property's technology Information Resources objectives
- Assists in technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance
- Interfaces with vendors, owners, and property staff
Candidate Profile:
- Education and Experience:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major; 4 years experience in Information Technology or related field, OR
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major; certified trainer; 2 years experience in Information Technology or related field
Core Work Activities:
- Supporting Client Technology Needs:
- Uses computers and systems to set up functions, enter data, or process information
- Monitors, verifies, and manages the acquisition and maintenance of property-based systems
- Assists in analyzing information, identifying problems, and proposing solutions
- Maintains, inspects, and repairs equipment
- Verifies that computer and network operations are monitored at the property, and that backup/recovery functions are scheduled
- Supports managing IR activities to ensure infrastructure and application systems are functional
- Administers and maintains mail and email systems
- Maintains inventories and manages IT hardware/software
- Provides internet and cable management support
- Generates systems communications for users about new applications, system issues, and updates
- Managing Projects and Policies:
- Monitors processes to ensure compliance with SOP and LSOP requirements
- Enforces IR policies and standards protecting company resources
- Supports determining if events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
- Maintaining Information Systems and Technology Goals:
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Assesses needs, ensuring compliance with standards, budgets, and capital requirements
- Verifies problems are reported, routed, tracked, and resolved
- Verifies proper asset management
- Performs on-site monitoring of projects
- Demonstrating and Applying IR Knowledge:
- Keeps up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to job
- Provides technical expertise and support
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Provides information to supervisors and co-workers in various forms (phone, email, in person)
- Analyzes information to choose the best solutions and solve problems
- Coordinates property efforts, prioritizes needs, and communicates those needs to IR Shared Services and systems staff
- Manages vendors for IT requirements and acts as the escalation point for problem resolution
