Job Description
. New Business Development
- Meet a minimum of 5 new prospects daily and report to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM).
- Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
- Create and execute strategic sales plans to onboard new accounts and nurture existing ones.
2. Sales Activities & Reporting
- Plan and carry out direct sales efforts to meet monthly revenue and volume targets.
- Generate daily sales activity reports and submit performance feedback to RSM/DGM.
- Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business goals.
3. Client Management & Relationship Building
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Follow up on leads and inquiries promptly to ensure conversion and client satisfaction.
- Regularly review client performance and resolve concerns to maintain loyalty and satisfaction.
4. Market Intelligence
- Collect and share competitor insights and market intelligence with the sales team and management.
- Target MNCs and major clients as assigned by management.
- Proactively generate leads and forward them to the Customer Service Manager (CSM) and RSM.
5. Sales Process & Documentation
- Coordinate with the Customer Service Manager (CSM) for quotations, proposals, and client communications.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all sales activities in the E-cargo portal and other CRM platforms.
6. Sales Performance Review
- Participate in weekly and monthly review meetings with Sales Team and DGM.
- Prepare and present detailed sales performance reports to the management team.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- New Business Acquisition: Strong prospecting skills and ability to secure new business.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Ability to achieve revenue and volume targets through structured planning.
- Market Intelligence: Skilled in collecting and analyzing market and competitor data.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Freight Forwarding Knowledge: Solid understanding of international logistics and supply chain practices.
- CRM & Documentation: Experience with CRM tools (preferably E-cargo) and sales documentation.
- Negotiation & Closing: Strong deal-closing abilities and contract negotiation skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams.
- Persistence & Resilience: Tenacious with the ability to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong time and task management.
