Assistant Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Lead Engineer to join our Global Siting Solutions team. This role is crucial for supporting the sales process by providing high-quality technical analysis and project design. You will be responsible for wind and site statistical modeling, optimizing wind turbine layouts, and performing load assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with a specific focus on wind resource assessment and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wind & Site Analysis: Conduct wind and site statistical modeling and analyses to determine wind resource and site characteristics.
• Layout Design & Optimization: Develop and optimize wind turbine site layouts and configurations based on power production, construction considerations, and conformance with industry standards.
• Load Assessment: Verify wind turbine design life by performing detailed load calculations.
• Sales & Project Support: Maintain sales and project processes by preparing technical and commercial responses for customers, consultants, and colleagues.
• Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is accurate and thorough, with a consistent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is highly desired.
• Proven experience in wind resource assessment and sales support.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience with industry-specific software like WAsP and windPRO is a significant advantage.
• A certification in a foreign language (e.g., German, Spanish, Danish, Chinese) is a plus.
