Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform using RPG, CL, and DB2/400.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and code.
- Modify and enhance existing AS400 applications to meet evolving business needs.
- Develop and maintain batch jobs, reports, and interactive programs in RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / Free RPG).
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of application issues in development and production environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to ensure smooth integration and data flow.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for all code changes and new development.
- Provide support for deployment activities, job monitoring, and performance tuning on the AS400 system.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay up to date with new tools, technologies, and practices related to IBM i/AS400 systems.
