Problem Management: Investigate and resolve recurring issues by identifying root causes and working with development teams to implement long-term fixes.
System Monitoring: Utilize monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Elastic Search) to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Environment Management: Build and maintain both production and non-production environments, ensuring they are configured and functioning properly.
Database Management: Work with databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries, understanding database performance, and addressing related issues.
Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Perl, Bash, or Shell to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
Scheduler Management: Manage and troubleshoot job scheduling tools like Autosys, Control-M, ensuring tasks run smoothly.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to deploy new releases, patches, and updates with minimal impact on production environments.

Required Skills:

Strong coding/scripting skills in Python, Perl, Bash, or Shell (proficiency in at least two).
Proficient in SQL and Linux/Unix commands.
Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
Exposure to highly distributed, high availability, and fault-tolerant systems.
Deep understanding of database concepts, SQL queries, and database performance optimization.
Experience with application monitoring and alerting tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Elastic Search.
Familiarity with job schedulers such as Autosys and Control-M.
Experience in building and maintaining production and non-production environments.
Proficiency with development tools like GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet.
