Application Integration Architecture

Teamware Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Application Integration Architect to design and oversee the integration strategies that connect diverse business applications. This pivotal role involves working with relevant integration technologies, ensuring smooth and efficient data flow and system interoperability. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to business objectives by leading the analysis, development, implementation, and troubleshooting within the critical Application Integration Architecture domain.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Integration Strategy & Design: Lead the design and development of comprehensive application integration architectures, strategies, and roadmaps. Define integration patterns, standards, and best practices to ensure seamless data exchange and process orchestration across enterprise applications.
• Solution Architecture: Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions. Select appropriate integration technologies and platforms (e.g., ESB, API Gateway, Message Queues, iPaaS, ETL tools) for various integration scenarios.
• Development & Implementation Oversight: Provide architectural guidance and oversight during the development and implementation phases of integration solutions. Ensure adherence to architectural principles, performance, and security requirements.
• Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing application landscapes and business processes to identify integration needs, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Lead the troubleshooting of complex integration issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Continuously monitor integration performance and optimize existing interfaces for efficiency and reliability.
• Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new integration technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our integration capabilities and adapt to evolving architectural trends.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with application development teams, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on integration matters.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration architectures, designs, specifications, and operational procedures.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Integration Architecture Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex application integration solutions across various platforms and technologies.
• Integration Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with a range of integration patterns and technologies, such as:
• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Camel, IBM Integration Bus, Oracle SOA Suite).
• API Management platforms and API Gateways.
• Message Queues/Brokers (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
• iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solutions (e.g., Dell Boomi, Workato, Informatica Cloud).
• ETL tools for data integration (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Talend).
• Cloud Integration: Experience with cloud-native integration services on platforms like AWS (e.g., SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway), Azure (e.g., Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management), or Google Cloud (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
• API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and development.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex integration challenges.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and influence decisions.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
