Role - AppDynamics Administrator - Roles and Responsibilities:

Required Technical Skill Set - App Dynamics, Controller

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

• Experience in administration of AppDynamics controllers 4.5 and above
• Good AppDynamics product knowledge (All agent modules, Synthetic, RUM, Log Analytics etc modules), different application stacks, product REST API and use those skills to address business and technical issues
• Preferred in design and implementation of Application Performance Management (APM) toolsets in large-scale, enterprise environments.
• Prior implementation and customizations experience with APM tools mainly with AppDynamics
• Good knowledge in Support, maintain, and expand AppDynamics infrastructure to meet future architecture design and deployment requirements Adopt AppDynamics for usage in Cloud IaaS and PaaS models.
• Perform upgrades on controller, Events Service, EUM & DB Agents
• Define an authentication and authorization model for AppDynamics within standard Client security framework. Develop customizations as needed.
• Work closely with infrastructure, Application, Development and project teams to onboard application into AppDynamics
• Seek opportunities for automated deployments to reduce operational tasks.
• Seek opportunities for integration of AppDynamics with other monitoring tools in the Client portfolio and with ITSM solution
• Test and implement AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions appropriate for Client's technology stack (e.g., Webservers; Messaging Tiers).
• Test and implement AppDynamics Database Agent.
• Test and implement AppDynamics End User Experience Monitoring.
• Build / maintain AppDynamics dashboards, Configure Health Rules
• Train users on best practices and AppDynamics features to proactively monitor performance in their environment as well as use the product to identify bottlenecks as needed
• Extensive industry experience in deploying AppDynamics for mission critical applications.
• Help business teams to setup policies alerts, dashboards, and custom configuration to get full visibility into their entire environment
