TCS is Hiring for AIX Server administrator/Sr.AIX administrator

Location: Delhi/Hydearabad

Experience Range: 8-12 years (Relevant)

Responsibility Expectations from the role:

Must-Have:

● Key responsible tasks are to perform regular System refresh & Client copy from heterogeneous systems under tight project timelines.

● Responsible for daily system health check & performance tuning of worst performing SAP Jobs.

● To be able to work with other infrastructure teams like administrators, DBA, OS team, Networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules.

● To be able to perform application DR testing –automation of DR scripts is mandatory.

● Extensive hands-on experience on all aspects of SAP Basis Administration tasks like Client-Copy, System Refresh, Support Pack upgrades, Kernel Upgrades, Plug-Ins & Add-on installations, applying OSS Notes etc.

● Prior experience in SAP ECC6 with AIX platform.

● Experience in AIX (v6.1, 7.1, 7.2), PowerHA (v7.1, 7.2), Power VM/VIOS (v2.2 and 3+), IBM pSeries Hardware (P7,8,9 models) Administrator

● - In depth knowledge and experience with PowerHA System Mirror administration, configuration, cluster build, storage addition and filesystem administration, cluster nodes, topologies, networks, and heart beating concepts

● - Solid understanding of AIX system administration, user administration, file/directory permissions, LVM, maintenance of software and system patches, TCP/IP concepts, NFS, NIS, DNS, storage concepts, performance tuning, lpar2rdd.

● - Working experience with PowerVM/VIOS, HMC, Virtualization, LPM, NPIV, SAN-attached storage, NIM (Network Installation Manager)

● - Work experience on patching of frame, VIO, network adapter & OS

● - Knowledge of ITSM tools, monitoring, storage & backups technologies

● - Ability to perform with a team /coordination skills/ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

● Experience & knowledge in servicing Logical Partitions through HMC Console ·

● Experience & knowledge VIOS configuration, management for virtual AIX LPARS on Servers ·

● Experience vSCSI & NPIV disk management from VIOS to AIX client servers. ·

● NIM server creation, installation and management for multiple versions of AIX ·.

● Experience in shell scripting of data collection for activities ·

● Aix Patch Management, upgradation on v5.3/v6.1/v7.1 · IBM HMC V7/V8 LPAR/DLPAR, Service event Management ·

● Logical volume management – VG, LV, Mirroring, Migration, Cloning, RAID Creation ·

● Knowledge & Experience in GPFS cluster administration

Good-to-Have:

● The ability to be a team player.

● Strong customer service skills.

● Experience in Unix operating system,

● Good knowledge on server hardware in VM and Physical server environments.

● Attend the requests from the Application team related to Infra activities such as Database restoration / Database backup.

● Performed Unix, Oracle DB Security Patch & database Hardening
