Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Book Closing & Finalization: Lead and manage the monthly book closing process, ensuring the accurate finalization of Books of Accounts and Statutory Records in compliance with Indian GAAP / Ind-AS standards.
- Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports, providing clear insights into the company's financial performance.
- Policy & Control Establishment: Establish robust accounting policies and procedures, implement strong financial controls, and ensure adherence to all statutory compliances.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial variance analysis, perform inter-store reconciliations, and manage periodical fixed assets verification to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Audit Management: Prepare all necessary supporting information for internal and external audits. Liaise effectively with External Auditors and facilitate Due Diligence processes as required.
- Taxation Management: Oversee and manage all taxation matters, including Withheld Tax (TDS/TCS), GST, and other relevant taxes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
- Inventory Management: Conduct physical inventory verification, report on variances, and ensure timely clearance of any discrepancies identified.
- Fixed Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the acquisition of capital assets, ensuring they are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Potentially lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality work output.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve financial reporting accuracy.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in monthly book closing and finalization of Books of Accounts and Statutory Records under Indian GAAP / Ind-AS.
- Ability to develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
- Experience in establishing accounting policies and procedures, financial controls, and ensuring statutory compliances.
- Skills in conducting financial variance analysis, inter-store reconciliations, and periodical fixed assets verification.
- Capability to prepare supporting information for audits and liaise with External Auditors for Due Diligence.
- Expertise in Taxation Matters, including Withheld Tax (TDS/TCS) and GST.
- Experience in Physical Inventory Verification and Variance reporting and clearance.
- Ability to manage the acquisition, recording, amortization, and disposal of capital assets.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
