Job Description
- Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing.
- Partner with internal systems and engineering teams to support financial system automation.
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify root causes, propose resolutions, and assess impacts.
- Collaborate with engineering and accounting to drive solutions and align on outcomes.
- Assess and design internal controls for new and growing business activities.
- Work with product, go-to-market, and finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedural documentation.
- Plan and perform monthly/quarterly close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, financial reporting, and reviews.
- Produce internal management reports and support external audits.
- Who You Are:
- Hold an accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 3–6 years of experience.
- Background in Accounting or Finance with experience in:
- Month-end close
- Journal preparation and posting
- Regulatory reporting
- Accounting systems
- Working knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606, 326, 450).
- Comfortable with ambiguous, fast-moving environments and unstructured problems.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Hands-on approach with a passion for building infrastructure and automation.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and across cultures.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing internal controls.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with evolving business needs.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA/CA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in technology or payments industry.
- Proficiency with Oracle Suite, Hubble, and SQL.
- Experience using tools like Power BI, Tableau, KNIME, Python, or Alteryx.
