He should be have knowledge in Shipbuilding and following area
Tools & Techniques
- Good in Reading and understanding drawing.
- Prepare Weekly and Monthly Plan
- should the Wall and ceiling Panel material knowledge
- should have knowledge of undercovering and flooring
- Should have the Insulation material standard and types
- should have knowledge on welding
- Should have the knowledge on HVAC Duct
- should have knowledge on HVAC equipment
- should be good in Worker Management
- should be good in material handling
- should be good in Problem solving
- should have decision making skill
- Refrigeration Cycle: Compressors, evaporators, condensers, and metering devices (TXV, EXV).
- Heating Systems: Furnaces (gas/electric), heat pumps, boilers, and radiant heat.
- Air Conditioning: Split systems, package units, mini-splits, and portable units.
- Ventilation & IAQ: Air handling units, filtration, humidification, dehumidification, and air distribution.
- Common Repairs: Fixing refrigerant leaks, frozen coils, and noisy units.
- System Maintenance: Cleaning coils, changing filters, and cleaning ductwork.
- Electrical Controls: Thermostats, contactors, capacitors, and electric motors.
- Codes & Standards: ASHRAE standards, local building codes.
- System Sizing: Load calculations (Manual J) and air volume (CFM) calculations.
- Energy Efficiency: SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency), and Energy Star ratings.
- Controls: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), smart thermostats, and automation.
Tools & Techniques
- Technician Tools: Manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, and multimeters.
