ABAP Architect/ Lead / SME

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, and support SAP ABAP solutions including reporting, dialog programming, forms, workflows, enhancements, and interfaces.
• Act as a subject matter expert for ABAP-related changes and enhancements in SIOP projects.
• Lead the technical integration between SAP ECC and SAP IBP, using middleware tools such as CPI.
• Translate functional specifications into technical specifications, code, perform unit testing, and document solutions.
• Provide technical support for SIOP processes and work closely with business analysts, architects, and other technical teams.
• Guide and perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to ABAP coding standards.
• Create technical documentation, test plans, and participate in testing activities.
• Support multiple SAP supply chain modules and ensure end-to-end integration and performance.
• Participate in SAP system updates, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Follow development standards and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7–9 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience in development and support
• Expertise in:
• ABAP Reporting, Dialog Programming, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Workflow
• BDC, BAPI, LSMW, Data Dictionary, RFCs, Object-Oriented ABAP
• ALE/IDoc, EDI, ABAP Proxy, OData Services, XML-based integrations
• Experience in developing and optimizing custom ABAP code
• Experience in SAP IBP integrations using CPI, PI/PO, SDI or similar middleware tools
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills
• Experience with SAP IBP object development and integration
• Understanding of e-commerce and supply chain processes in SAP
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP CPI DS, managing tasks and process chains
• Exposure to SAP Ariba, SAP BI/Analytics tools
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence for project tracking
• Formal training or certifications in problem-solving or SAP methodologies

• Open to travel up to 20% as needed
• Willing to work extra hours when project deadlines require
